This family. Literally Best Dog Parents ever! I knew from the moment I first spoke with Evelin that we would work together and I was so excited. I love when clients come my way and we instantly connect. I loved hearing about their sweet Golden boy Ollie who is their whole world. He has just celebrated his 6th birthday, but unfortunately has recently been diagnosed with cancer. It was important to Evelin and Stephen that they capture special memories of him while he is still strong and in great spirits. He is very sweet and loving and did great on his session. I absolutely loved watching them with him. It was so evident how much love they have for him and were literally open and willing to do anything to get great images of him.
“We’ve had Ollie since he was a puppy, he was only 9 weeks old. We drove almost 4 hours all the way to Michigan on a very cold and snowy January day. We knew he was going to be a big one since his puppy paws were gigantic! He literally looked like a polar bear cub and even to this day we still call him “baby bear” or “Olli-bear”. He has always been a very good dog and to everyone’s surprise he was entirely trained and settled down by age one (never chewed or destroyed anything) so he is basically free to be all over the house, he owns it pretty much! We love his funny habits such as, every time he wants to go for a walk he comes to you holding a shoe in his mouth (we usually do not wear shoes around the house) so we immediately know what he wants. He loves bones and treats which we call “cookies”. He also loves going everyday to work with daddy where he is a fantastic pharmacy greeter and people love him cause as they say “he brightens up their days!” ~ Evelin
We chose to photograph their session at a close local park here in Dublin that offers a ton of variety and considering they wanted more natural elements, I thought it was the perfect venue. We started their session with images of them altogether, both posed and candid for a more casual feel. But I think the session really came to life and captured so much of Ollie’s personality when we could let him play, get in the creek, chase his ball and just be your typical fun loving golden. Those are the moments we get the very best images!
What was most important for them to get out of their session? The most important thing for us to get out of our photo session was to create wonderful memories of Ollie that will last a lifetime!
