You never know where you’ll find your next client. When I first spoke with Caitlin, of course I asked her how she heard of me. She mentioned she was at the dog wash and ran into an aquaintance (who happened to be a repeat client of mine) and she was getting her pups ready for their photo session the very next day. Caitlin mentioned she had been wanting to do professional portraits and within a week, we had connected via phone and was already planning their shoot!
It was the perfect time for their session for many reasons, their dogs are water dogs and I knew the location I had in mind for them, the water level was low (which makes for a GORGEOUS setting for a session), but also their dog Kizzie needed to have an eye removed and she wanted to make sure their session was done beforehand. It worked out so perfectly. The weather was gorgeous, the water level stayed low and we had the most amazing session. The images we captured were gorgeous, but what happened after the session was so awesome. As I packed up my gear, they wanted to let the dogs “go play.” They immediately dove in the water and were literally having the time of their lives. I couldn’t help but grab my gear and capture those completely candid moments. These images, IMO, were some of the VERY best from the session. It’s always the candid ones that capture the true essence of the dog and are typically favorites of mine and the owners! Enjoy their session favorites and scroll to the bottom to see what she had to say about their session- I just love this session and how natural it is!
